FOC Capture Pty Ltd builds software that construction contractors and surveyors use to record quality assurance evidence on live construction projects. Our customers rely on the records our software produces to demonstrate their own compliance, to close out projects, and to defend their work if it is ever challenged.
Our obligation
That places a specific obligation on us, and it is an obligation about faithfulness, not truth: the records our software produces must be a faithful, complete, attributable and durable rendering of the data you give it and the actions you take in it. A quality failure in our product is not an inconvenience to a customer — it is a gap in their evidence.
What we do not undertake, and cannot: that the data you supply is itself correct. We do not survey, measure, inspect or design. If a chainage is wrong in an imported spreadsheet, a level is wrong in a survey file, or a drawing has been superseded, our software will carry that faithfully into a report. Verifying the input against the physical work, and the output against your own raw data, is your responsibility — and we would rather say so here than leave it to be discovered. It is set out in full in our terms of service.
We commit to
Producing trustworthy records
Evidence captured in FOC Capture Pro is attributable to a person and a time, is not silently altered, and remains readable and exportable independently of our software.
Not claiming more than we can demonstrate
Where our software issues a document that could be read as certifying something, it states what it proves and what it does not. A number that is exact by construction is not presented as a measure of accuracy.
Keeping the human in the position of decision
Where the product suggests — a filing destination, a value read off a document, a match — the suggestion is put to a competent person for confirmation. It is never committed as fact on your behalf.
Customer data custody
The canonical project record — captured evidence, drawings, and the reports generated from them — lives in storage the customer owns and controls, under their own account. We additionally hold coordination data and a defined set of secondary records in our own infrastructure; what those are is set out plainly in our privacy policy rather than left to inference. The arrangement means the record survives the failure of any single party in the chain, including us and including the platforms we depend on. Customers can leave with their records intact.
Meeting stated requirements
We deliver what we tell customers we deliver, and we correct the record promptly when we get it wrong.
Acting on failure
Defects, outages and customer complaints are recorded, investigated for cause, corrected, and reviewed for patterns — not just patched and forgotten.
Continual improvement
We set measurable quality objectives, review performance against them at least quarterly, and adjust.
Meeting our obligations
We comply with applicable legal, regulatory and contractual requirements, including Australian privacy law.
Our certification status
We operate a quality management system maintained against AS/NZS ISO 9001. We are not certified to ISO 9001, and we do not claim or imply that we are.
Operating an ISO 9001-aligned quality management system without certification is legitimate, and we would rather state the distinction plainly than let it be assumed. The system is maintained and operated so that certification by an accredited body would be a documentation and audit exercise rather than a rebuild — to be pursued when a specific commercial requirement justifies the cost.
Where our infrastructure providers hold certifications of their own — ISO 27001, SOC 2 and similar — those are their certifications, relied upon by us and cited as theirs, not ours.
Responsibility
This policy is issued by, and binds, FOC Capture Pty Ltd. Every commitment on this page is the company’s. Our quality management system assigns each role — owner, approver, reviewer — to a named person, because a company cannot itself review and approve a document; those people act for and on behalf of the company in the exercise of their office, and nothing here is a personal undertaking by any individual.
Within the company, the Director is accountable for this policy, for setting and reviewing quality objectives, and for the resources needed to meet them. This policy is reviewed at least annually.
Questions about our quality system
If you are assessing us as a supplier, or want to understand how we handle defects, records or your data, get in touch. We will respond within 30 days.
